Manchester United go into their game with Stoke City tonight still protecting their unbeaten record in the Premiership. Its amazing to think that depsite pundits saying that this Utd team are not as good as past sides, and that the players are underperforming, particualrly Wayne Rooney, Alex Ferguson’s side continue to decieve and are once again sitting pretty at the top of the Premiership.

Their opponents are Stoke City who themselves are proving to be quite a thorn in the side of many a team, with Everton the latest big name to go down at the Potteries, succumbing to a 2-0 defeat last Saturday.

For United, nothing less than three points will do to appease their fans as the side breathing down their necks at the top of the league is their local neighbours and arch rivals Manchester City.

Although Stoke have been known to provide stubborn resistance Old Trafford is a different prospect altogether than the safety of the Britannia Stadium, and going on a 2-0 Utd win, which is available at 6/1 with Paddy Power.

Elsewhere on Tuesday night, Fulham take on West Brom at the Cottage with Mark Hughes still desperate for the three points to ease the pressure. The final fixture on Tuesday sees Blackpool entertain Birmingham, with Alex McLeish’s side in desperate trouble after a mauling by Arsenal which saw them drop down into the relegation zone. The Seasiders are sitting pretty in a respectable 11th place, and with only one defeat in their last six I’d expect them to to pick up the spoils at a very healthy price of 7/5.
